Sigma Zeta Zeta Chapter
Sigma Zeta Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. was chartered as the ninth graduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. in the state of New Jersey on April 28, 2001. Since its chartering, Sigma Zeta Zeta Chapter has continued to promote the principles upon which the Sorority was found throughout Hudson County.
Sigma Zeta Zeta Chapter is the sponsoring graduate chapter for Upsilon Tau at New Jersey City University and Saint Peters University. Upsilon Tau was chartered in 2011. Sigma Zeta Zeta Chapter also sponsors the Auxiliary organization Zeta Amicae of Jersey City. Zeta Amicae of Jersey City was chartered in 2012 to further the goals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. through women who have not completed a bachelor’s degree.
Sigma Zeta Zeta Chapter also sponsors the following Youth Auxiliaries; Archonettes are 14-18 year old young ladies who demonstrate an interest in the goals and the ideals of scholarship, sisterhood, and community service, Amicettes are girls 9 to 13 years old who are willing to strive toward the high ideals of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority and who demonstrate potential for leadership in service to the community, and Pearlettes are girls ages 4 -8 years old who are mentored by ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. to become outstanding leaders in their community.
The chapter’s commitment to Service and Scholarship is far-reaching and long-standing, as we award scholarships annually to high school seniors.
